JOY IN MY LIFE

Father, thank you for giving us joy! This week has been an amazing week of joy. From the celebration of birth to the celebrations of a homecoming. From some alone time with scripture, to sharing that scripture with others. Oh help us to experience it all day long. Let us face the day and choose to focus on whatever brings a smile to our face, and ignore the other stuff. We want a good life Lord, help us to choose it! For You say, "This is a sacred day before our Lord. Don’t be dejected and sad, for the joy of the Lord is your strength" -(Nehemiah 8:10 ) What a beautiful way You work. Just like lifting weights makes us physically stronger; each person, thing, or event that we choose to at today Lord, makes us mentally and spiritually stronger.... and I thank You for it: I choose to smile at my coffee maker this morning... ready to energize me for the day! I choose to smile at the pile of laundry because it reminds me of the blessing of my family. I choose to smile at the pile of dishes in my sink because it means I have family and folks to cook for. I choose to smile at the people that God has put in my path today, after all they are Your children that just want a good life too... Thank You Father for blessing me in a very special way. Amen
