What just happened? I turned my head, closed my eyes and you were gone!

James 4:14 Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away.
Our family has certainly had its share of pain and loss this year. As we gather to celebrate the holidays, Satan--who was seeking to devour and destroy continues to test the strength and resolve of my family's faith in God. The devil certainly gets a black eye again.
I think what will make heaven so great is that “death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away” (Rev. 21:4), and even greater, “the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God” (Rev. 21:3). I’m so ready for death to be gone, for all pain and suffering to be behind us, and we “will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads” (Rev. 22:4). Aren’t those great reasons to look forward to heaven?
We’ve been created to join the party in heaven, because then we’ll finally receive our eternal inheritance and our eternal rewards for what we’ve done for the Lord. But also the absence of sin and all the sorrow and suffering that sin caused will be gone forevermore. I do so look forward to that day! This old world has nothing for me and today,....... I wont be shaken!
I praise God for the time He allowed us to share in this world together. These are the times that we seek shelter in His word, His promise, His hope. I praise Him for the blessings of love, grace and mercy that He showers upon us daily.
Until we meet again when Christ calls us home, farewell:

Updated 1 January 2018--It is with a very heavy heart to convey to all that my cousin, Michael has gone to be with Jesus and his mother Kimmy. Michael's loss is a significant impact to not only our family, but to humanity itself. He was an advocate for so many and a fighter for those afflicted by addiction and disease, for every underdog, not to mention his constant battle with spinal bifata. Hate or quit was not in his vocabulary. He was one of Kennedy's biggest cheerleaders. He would phone me, text me or message me while listening to my radio show to request and dedicate songs for persons that he felt needed the message. He met adversity "head on" and was the most loving man I knew. I will miss him dearly. God bless you Michael, your body is no longer broken, hug Kimmy for us!
Today, they sit at the feet of Jesus, we love you, miss you all and can't wait to see you again. God Speed!
