NOT FAIR!

Dwelling on unfairness doesn’t do anything to change it; it actually affects my ability to do that since obsessive thinking drains my energy, magnifies my emotions, and keeps me more focused on problems than solutions. This has been the biggest challenge for me, as I’ve found it almost satisfying at times to think about things that seem wrong—as if this is productive. Some folks even build their... lives around it, thrive in it, bringing everyone around them down the road to Abilene. It's counterproductive! I struggle with this as well. I have to recognize that when I start fixating on blaming thoughts, I take pause and pray to Jesus. I ask Him for guidance, often I repeat an affirmation along the lines of, “Father, I know this isn’t productive. It is what it is, and I can either accept it or try to change it, Your will be done!” I can only tell you what works for me. Have a blessed day!
